ORANGE — November 3, 2026. Orange Public Works asks residents to report urgent problems with city water, sewer, streetlights or traffic signals through a dedicated after-hours number.
When to use it
The city’s contact page identifies 714-538-1961 for after-hours issues, separate from the regular Public Works office at 714-744-5525. For life-threatening emergencies, residents should call 911.
What the department handles
Orange Public Works oversees roadway and sidewalk maintenance, storm drains, sewer repairs, water distribution, traffic signals, street trees and waste oversight. A problem on a privately owned driveway may fall outside city maintenance responsibilities.
What to say in a report
Provide the closest address or intersection, describe the observed hazard and avoid entering flooded or electrically unsafe areas. Detailed location information helps staff find an issue more quickly.
