ORANGE — November 3, 2026. The City of Orange says CR&R Environmental Services will suspend trash, recycling and organics collections on Thanksgiving, November 26, 2026.
Who gets a delay
Under the city’s published rule, when a holiday falls Monday through Friday, service on that holiday and the remaining days of the week moves back one day. Customers ordinarily collected Thursday should check for Friday service, and Friday customers for Saturday.
A difference for street sweeping
The city’s holiday notice separately says postponed sweeping typically resumes on the next scheduled sweeping day, not automatically the day after the holiday. If services fall on the same date, the city recommends putting waste carts on the parkway rather than in the street.
Confirm your route
The contracted trash hauler CR&R can be reached at 714-372-8272. Use the official address-based collection rules rather than applying the neighboring city of Santa Ana’s calendar.
