ORANGE, California — November 4, 2026. Early returns in the city of Orange show Dan Slater ahead of Arianna Barrios in the mayoral election, while three city ballot measures have attracted differing responses from voters.

Mayor’s race

According to the November 4 Orange County election results displayed by NBC Los Angeles, Slater had 13,089 votes (59.0%) and Barrios 9,095 (41.0%) in the reported count. These figures are unofficial and may change with additional ballots.

Three Orange ballot measures

In the same early reporting snapshot, Measure I showed Yes at 55.81%, compared with No at 44.19%; Measure J showed Yes at 62.33%, compared with No at 37.67%; and Measure K showed No at 64.56%, compared with Yes at 35.44%.

Those percentages indicate which side was ahead in the preliminary vote. Whether a measure is formally adopted depends on the applicable approval threshold and certified results; a simple Yes lead should not be confused with legal enactment.

Where to follow changes

The Orange County Registrar of Voters will continue its canvass. Orange residents can follow the updated local vote totals before drawing conclusions about the next city administration or any ballot measure.
